There are a variety of user roles that are defined within a warehouse management system (WMS). These roles are based on the level of access and permissions that are granted to users, and vary depending on the specific needs and requirements of the organization.
In UPWMS you can install the following roles:
Guest: This is the default role that appears after user registration. Users cannot work in this role. The administrator must change this role to the required one.
Admin: This is the highest level of user in a WMS and typically has full access to all features and functions of the system. Admins are responsible for managing the system, including creating and deleting user accounts, setting permissions, and configuring system settings.
Receiver: This role is responsible for receiving incoming shipments and verifying that the correct items have been received. Checking items for damage and reporting any issues to the appropriate parties. Resolving any issues or discrepancies related to received shipments (e.g. incorrect items, damaged items)
Picker-Packer: This role is responsible for locate, retrieve items for orders, packing items.
Checks that the correct items are being picked for each order. Packs items for shipment according to specified guidelines (e.g. using appropriate materials, labeling packages correctly). Resolves any issues or discrepancies related to orders (e.g. incorrect items, missing items).
Supervisor: This role is typically responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the warehouse, tracking orders, and fulfilled accurately and efficiently.
Shipment Assistant: This role is responsible for preparing orders, , generating shipping labels and documents. Resolving issues or discrepancies related to shipments.
Invoice Assistant: This role is responsible for generating and issuing invoices for orders that have been shipped or completed. Providing assistance to customers or clients with questions or concerns about invoices
Customer: This role is typically reserved for external users who have limited access to the WMS, such as customers or suppliers who need to view order status or inventory levels.
